The Quality of Working Life Index with Marko Kesti

In the most recent Vibecatch podcast we discuss with Professor Marko Kesti, MSc (Eng.), PhD. (Admin.), Adjunct Professor and associate professor at the University of Lapland.

Professor Kesti is specialised in HRM-Performance, he is the CEO of PlayGain Inc, producing AI simulation learning games for leadership development and also EVP at Mcompetence, providing tools and services for organisation employee performance development.

He also developed the Quality of Working Life, the index that consists of three self-esteem factors that are weighted according to Herzberg’s motivation theory so that every factor has its own specific effect on the whole. This fixes a common error in analysing employee surveys.

In this latest podcast Marko Kesti answers these questions and more:

What is quality of work life?
What to measure in your organisation for more engaged and productive employees?
How many questions should you ask in an employee survey and what should you target?
Who should take the responsibility for the importance of quality of working life index?
What would be the cost of inaction for a company who is not considering employees’ wellbeing and quality of working life?
What are the pitfalls with optimising short term profits?
