Identifying Employee Risks In Your Organisation With Vibecatch QWL

As a Team Leader, HR Manager, or CEO of a company, your primary concern is the wellbeing and motivation of your employees. You know your employees are your biggest asset and that creating a positive work culture is a main driver of productivity and profit for a company.

As leadership, wouldn’t it be helpful to have a tool that gives you the ability to know in advance how your employees feel, as well as provides a solid approach to prevent and/or mitigate the biggest risks that affect employee engagement and productivity in the workplace?

Now, you can do even more with Vibecatch employee engagement QWL (Quality Work Life) polls, with new features and report functions that provide concrete numbers to assess risks and to help you move forward with actionable items that will improve your company’s QWL.

New Features - Employee-Specific Risk Identification

The Vibecatch new QWL poll reports now provide five main results to assess - the QWL index, as well as showing the number of employees identified to have these risks:

  • Work Disability Risk
  • Sickness/Absence Risk
  • Burnout Risk
  • Turnover Risk

As a leader, this gives you concrete and simple measurements which identify the amount and kind of need your departments or teams have at the moment.

In addition, you will also be provided a list of impactful improvement actions to take that will directly mitigate these risks and help increase your QWL score.

As a manager, knowledge is power; the more information you have about how your employees are doing and feeling, the more effective you will be in implementing changes that improve employee engagement. Improving your QWL number is your main objective that will have an impact on ALL employees. As actions are taken to impact the QWL, many individual risks issues will decrease.

Something relevant to note is that all employee feedback to the Vibecatch QWL polls is anonymous! This provides the benefit of openness and transparency from your employees.

Additionally, Vibecatch QWL polls can be fine-tuned for your company! Leadership will be able to calibrate the calculation poll to change the weight of specific risks that have more relevance to your organisation. Also, you can adjust the risk identification criteria: for example use your company’s last quarter’s turnover numbers to adjust future turnover risk identification.

Heatmap

Heatmap visual provides various view options for you to get a comprehensive status update on how your organisation is doing: you can get a bird’s-eye view showing you which teams or departments have many identified risks, or drill down to look at only the sickness/absence risk, or turnover risk.

The Heatmap provides a visual way to identify risks and indicate the areas your company or organisation is going in the right direction regarding employee engagement.

Distribution

Another invaluable feature in the Vibecatch new reporting is the distribution section. The newest version of VibeCatch calculates QWL-index on employee-specific level. This allows you to evaluate a comparison of the distribution of the QWL-index between quarters: you can see if your improvement actions have been impactful and/or if there are employee groups that still require further improvement actions to be taken.

One of our favorite features here is that as a team leader, you’ll be able to see direct comments employees have left on their poll submission. The graph gives the option to click on a specific person at risk to see if they have left comments. These comments are completely anonymous, and often extremely helpful in revealing a solution to decrease the risk; thus helping to increase your QWL score.

New call-to-action

How Are Risks Calculated

How the risks are being calculated is the big question. The Vibecatch polls are calculating QWL from three drivers - Physical and Emotional Safety (thoughts on job security, being bullied at work, etc.), Social Cohesion and Identity (“team spirit, etc.”), and Goals and Creativity (do work activities get employees closer to their goals and provide personal satisfaction, etc.).

The risks can help you understand the QWL and the drivers, and vice versa. For example, if management is trying to understand what is driving Burnout, it can be looked at in this way - if Social Cohesion and Identity are really strong, as well as Goals and Creativity, but employees do not feel Physical and Emotional Safety (for example, they feel unable to say no to extraneous tasks in fear of losing their job), this creates burnout risk, which in turn can have a deep impact on productivity across the organization.

Turnover is the inverse - if you have the energy to look for new employment opportunities (meaning your physical and emotional safety is at a healthy level)  and you do not see personal satisfaction in your work goals and the team atmosphere is negative enough then there is a higher chance you’ll move to another employer.

Addressing Individual Needs In The Moment

An additional feature of the Vibecatch QWL polls is an option for a custom message pop-up to go to employees who have answered a poll and were identified in one of the risk categories. This will be a way for employees to get instant feedback and immediate proactive steps set in place.

Vibecatch has developed a thorough reporting and analysis functionality that enables our Vibecatch employee engagement product to not just be a poll; but a poll with follow-up, with actions to take, and with clear and measurable results. The new Vibecatch reporting features will provide tangible benefits for both your employees and your company.
